Our beautiful daughter, Eira died on the 22nd of February, 2013 aged two years. We took her into hospital on the Sunday when she was diagnosed with Pneumococcal Meningitis and put on a ventilator, she celebrated her 2nd Birthday on the Tuesday and she passed away on the Friday. Enough about her death, we would like to write about her life; she was a happy, sensitive, loving, vivacious, engaging, exceptional little girl who really did enchant everyone who met her. She leaves behind a little sister, Glesni who was 4 months old when she died, and a gaping hole in our lives. As we endeavour to come to terms with her absence, it is helpful to know that we may be able to do some good in her name. We will never "get over" her death, but we hope that, in time, the pain we feel when we think of her and what might have been will be replaced by sheer joy in the knowledge that she graced the world with her presence for two short years.
